As our little one occasionally puts her strand of pearls in her mouth or yanks hard at it,
we knot our pearls individually on a silk cord.
This gives our pearl necklaces its natural sag when worn.
It also reduces the chances of the whole string of pearls falling apart in the unlikely case of breakage.
As parents, we have also learnt the hard way to never say never
when it comes to our little ones.
Hence we will still need to point out that this is
not a toy and adult supervision is recommended
